Jakarta, Indonesia, March 20, 2024 – In a groundbreaking collaboration aimed at bolstering the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) sector in Indonesia, eduCLaaS and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy have teamed up to launch a series of events designed to enhance digital literacy and empower UMKM businesses.
The event, titled “eduCLaaS Support UMKM Go Digital,” was held across two major cities, Jakarta and Semarang, with the primary objective of bridging the digital skills gap and fostering economic growth within the creative industry.
eduCLaaS, a pioneering digital skilling platform specializing in Competency Learning as a Service (CLaaS), is at the forefront of this initiative. By leveraging a competency-based curriculum and adopting blended learning methodologies, eduCLaaS aims to equip UMKM owners with the essential digital skills necessary to thrive in today’s digital economy.
The Jakarta leg of the event kicked off amidst the bustling business hub of the capital city. UMKM owners and entrepreneurs gathered to learn about the opportunities presented by the digital economy, with a focus on becoming successful digitalpreneurs. Participants were immersed in workshops and seminars aimed at maximizing their digital presence and expanding their business reach in the online marketplace.
Continuing its journey to Semarang, the event brought together a diverse array of UMKM players eager to enhance their digital skills. From traditional handicrafts to culinary delights, participants engaged in practical sessions aimed at improving their understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce, and branding strategies.
The impact of the event extends far beyond mere knowledge-sharing sessions. It aims to foster a supportive ecosystem where UMKM businesses can collaborate and strengthen each other, leading to sustainable growth and increased turnover through online sales.
As the event concluded, it left behind a trail of enthusiasm and optimism among participants. With unwavering support from eduCLaaS, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and other stakeholders, UMKM businesses are poised to thrive in the digital era.
This collaboration represents a significant step towards realizing the vision of a prosperous Indonesia, where UMKM businesses play a central role in driving economic advancement.
