ASP-eduCLaaS and QTSCi Join Forces to Launch Digital Talent Incubator and Nurture Vietnam's Digital Workforce
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 4 August 2023 – ASP-eduCLaaS has officially entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Quang Trung Software City Incubator (QTSCi), marking the launch of the Digital Talent Incubator and the signing ceremony for the development of the Digital Talent Incubation Network. This landmark initiative aims to cultivate and connect startups and businesses within the ecosystem, fostering a thriving digital talent pool in Vietnam.
The newly established Digital Talent Incubator is on a mission to disseminate knowledge, provide expert training, and analyze the transformation process of small and medium-sized enterprises. Furthermore, it endeavors to develop the startup ecosystem within the Quang Trung Software City Incubation Center and other startups, elevating Vietnam’s digital economy to new heights.
In the fast-growing digital economy, Vietnam is predicted to experience the strongest growth from 2022 to 2025. To ensure successful and sustainable digital transformation, a robust digital workforce is crucial. According to Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, the nation aims to train around 150,000 digital workers annually by 2030, significantly up from the current 65,000 people trained yearly.
Recognizing the limitations of traditional universities in providing adequate training due to teacher shortages and infrastructure constraints, ASP-eduCLaaS has emerged as the solution for Vietnam’s digital workforce needs. Their partnership with QTSCi seeks to address the looming shortage of skilled professionals and establish a systematic startup incubation model, nurturing talents and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
The Talent Incubation programs are centered around Software Engineering and Digital Business. Students will experience a boot camp period before progressing to internships at multiple companies across Asia. This opportunity enables Vietnam’s digital workforce to develop their skills and contribute to a global environment.
Reflecting on the significance of this MoU signing, eduCLaaS Founder and CEO, Leslie Loh, remarked, “Our partnership with Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) is a testament to our commitment to nurturing talents and fostering innovation. We understand the importance of a robust digital workforce in achieving successful and sustainable digital transformation, and we are excited to play a key role in this journey. Together, we will bridge the digital skills gap and pave the way for a dynamic and inclusive tech industry.”
Speaking about the event, Col. Tran Van Thuan stated, “We extend our appreciation on behalf of ASP and eduCLaaS and look forward to the ongoing partnership with Mr. Tuan, QTSCi’s Director. Our aim is to transform this project into a tangible reality and accomplish the initial objectives we have outlined. I am confident that this project, along with the aspects concerning the advancement of digital transformation project creation and the establishment of a comprehensive human-focused digital training platform, will continue to progress and expand.”
Concluding the event, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Director of QTSCi, shared his thoughts, stating, “Vietnam, along with other countries, places a strong emphasis on digital transformation. A vital condition for achieving this aspiration is the presence of a well-prepared pool of digital professionals. It brings me great pleasure to learn that eduCLaaS’ primary aim is to educate future-ready digital talents – individuals who will play a pivotal role in seamlessly integrating digital transformation across our daily lives, enterprises, and the entirety of society. Our dedication is resolute in collaborating closely with ASP-eduCLaaS to foster the progression of digital transformation initiatives and to nurture on – demand digital talents.”
The Digital Talent Incubator and the collaboration between ASP-eduCLaaS and QTSCi hold the promise of driving Vietnam’s digital economy to new heights, providing the much-needed skilled workforce for a sustainable and prosperous future.
