The ASMA Higher Education Summit & Awards 2022 was held in Bengaluru, India on 6 December 2022 the overarching theme ‘Making India a Hub for Quality Higher Education – Implications for Policy Makers & HEIs’. The event was organised ASMA Academia with eduCLaaS as the main event partner.
The event was designed to facilitate the discussions and dialogues on how regulations like the NEP and other strategic higher education transformation initiatives can help direct higher educational institutions to become influential centers of learning in India.
The event is honoured to receive Hon’ble Shri Dr. Ashwathnarayan C. N. – Minister of Higher Education, IT & BT, Science and Technology, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Karnataka and Chairman KSHEC to deliver the opening speech.
Mr Leslie Loh shared his observations and prescriptions for reimagining higher education toward becoming a global common good, by bridging the missing connection between education and the workplace with tripartite partnership across public, private, and non-profit sectors, to deliver a converged future of learning and work with inclusivity and diversity.
Later on, HigherEd Lead, Mr Mahesh Kumar, also moderated a panel discussion with P Dr Sandeep Raj, Head, CoE in AI & Data Science, Associate Dean, R & C, IIIT Bhagalpur and Mr. Sanjay Padode, Chairman of IFIM Institutions and Founding President Vijay Bhoomi University, and Mr Mohit Kuma, President of Podar Enterprise Group from local and international higher education to illustrate how eduCLaaS as a dual-track applied learning platform, supported by a glocalized digital skills coalition, connects post-secondary students, working adults, enterprises, employers, higher education institutions, industry experts, governments, non-profit agencies & technology vendors, deliver inclusive digital skilling with interdisciplinary curriculums, work-integrated learning, interoperable credentials, blended learning technologies, employer ecosystem, and co-financing support for bridging digital divide and rising inequality at scale across Asia.
