Thailand Future Skills Summit 2022 was held in Bangkok On 12th Oct 2022 with the overarching theme ‘Building Future-Ready Workforce’. The summit was co-hosted by the Thailand Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and the Thailand Digital Economy Promotion Agency, with Confexhub and eduCLaaS as the co-organisers.
The Thailand Future Skills Summit 2022 is specifically contextualized and designed with a focus on workforce development to support Thailand’s National digital transformation strategy in transforming Thailand into a high-income country with an entirely digitalized economy under the Thailand 4.0 economic model. In alignment with the ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2025 and the Roadmap of the ASEAN Declaration on Human Resources Development for the Changing World of Work, Confexhub and eduClaaS are taking the initiative to conceptualise and roll-out a series of programs, to establish cooperation between relevant ASEAN sectoral bodies, government agencies, higher education institutions, private sector and funding agencies to collectively recontextualise education to close the digital skills gap in ASEAN.
After the opening ceremony by Thailand Minister of Digital Economy and Society, H.E. Mr Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn. Mr. Leslie Loh, eduCLaaS Founder and CEO, delivered his plenary keynote speech in the morning entitled “Bridging the Digital Skills Gap with Education 4.0” and in the afternoon entitled “Public & Private Co-Financing for Inclusive Learning’ for sharing his observations and prescriptions for reimagining post-secondary education toward becoming a global common good, by fostering a tripartite partnership across public, private, and non-profit sectors, to deliver inclusive digital skilling for managing digital divide and rising inequality.
