CECON Leaders Dive Into AI-Powered Learning at eduCLaaS HQ: Shaping the Future of Philippine Higher Ed
Singapore, June 9, 2025 – In a bold step toward shaping 21st-century education in the Philippines, The Council of Economics Educators (CECON) visited the eduCLaaS Headquarters in Singapore to experience how AI-powered, adaptive learning is transforming classrooms across Asia. Hosted by eduCLaaS, the visit gave the delegation a deep dive into the Adaptive CLaaS® model—an industry-aligned platform built to close the skills gap, enable personalized learning at scale, and prepare graduates for success in digital-first economies. CECON, a 50+ member network of academic leaders and a long-standing partner of government agencies like CHED (Commission on Higher Education), DepEd (Department of Education), and PCDEB (Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business), has been championing innovative teaching in economics education since 1997. This visit reflects the group’s commitment to global benchmarking and future-ready pedagogy.
As higher education stands at the crossroads of AI disruption, institutions must rethink how learning is delivered and measured. eduCLaaS responds with its Adaptive CLaaS® Platform—an AI-powered, work-integrated model built to help universities shift from degree-first to skills-first learning. By embedding real-world applications into the academic journey, the platform empowers both students and educators to thrive in an increasingly digital, outcomes-driven economy.
During the visit, the CECON delegation—composed of senior academic leaders from 11 public and private HEIs representing Metro Manila and key regions across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao — explored how the Adaptive CLaaS® solution enables institutions to scale hybrid-flexible, job-aligned learning. The presentation highlights the platform’s four proprietary AI agents—CLaaS Developer, Curriculum, Mentor, and Manager—which collectively support personalized curriculum design, real-time learner engagement, and institutional performance management.
“This platform enables universities to move beyond one-size-fits-all learning models,” says Mr. Leslie Loh, Founder & CEO of eduCLaaS, during his keynote presentation. “We are redefining how academic programs can adapt to workforce needs—turning education into a lifelong, scalable solution.”
The delegation explores use cases across tech-lite and deep-tech disciplines, with discussions emphasizing the ASEAN region’s need for modular, stackable digital credentials. A particular highlight is the platform’s ability to support diverse learners—from undergraduates to alumni—through competency-based upskilling and flexible career pathways.
Representing some of the Philippines’ most respected public and private academic institutions, the delegation brought together deans, vice presidents, senior professors, and academic officers—united by a shared commitment to champion innovation and future-ready education across the country. The visit also underscored a growing recognition among Philippine HEIs: that lifelong learning, upskilling, and cross-border collaboration are essential pillars for building resilient, globally competitive universities.
“Complementing the Adaptive CLaaS® showcase is a deep dive into Adaptive Learning, where eduCLaaS experts demonstrate how AI technology reimagines both academic and corporate learning ecosystems,” explains Mr. Krishnamoorthy Ramoo, Co-Founder & COO of eduCLaaS. “Through strategic frameworks, real-world case studies, and implementation strategies, CECON members gain practical insights into building efficient, personalized, and future-ready learning experiences.”
The visit also featured a strategic Q&A and roundtable dialogue exploring collaboration opportunities in CPD accreditation, faculty upskilling, short course integration, and cross-regions pilot programs. Delegates toured the eduCLaaS facility to experience firsthand its smart or digital learning infrastructure, AI-powered teaching tools, and dynamic, industry-aligned classroom environments.
“We are deeply honored to welcome the CECON delegation,” COO of eduCLaaS adds “Their commitment to forward-thinking education aligns perfectly with our mission to shape adaptive, AI-powered institutions.”
The session wrapped up with networking, photo documentation, and meaningful exchanges—setting the stage for deeper collaboration. Both sides expressed strong interest in building long-term academic partnerships through knowledge sharing, innovation-driven projects, and regional engagement. Early conversations are also underway to explore how eduCLaaS can support Philippine HEIs in shaping their digital transformation strategies, serving as a strategic partner in advancing future-ready education in the country.
